Artist Spotlight series: Holli Zollinger
Artist Holli Zollinger has been with Spoonflower since the very beginning. So when we decided to do an artist spotlight series to highlight our vibrant community, Holli was an obvious first choice. Based in Moab, Utah, Holli’s artwork is inspired by the raw beauty of her desert home, combining elements from nature with a whimsical twist.
As the Creative Production Manager at Spoonflower, I built and directed the company’s first in-house photo and video team within the Marketing department. Of the many projects I worked on, this Artist Spotlight, featuring world-renowned designer and textile artist, Holli Zollinger, was one of my favorites. There were a lot of moving pieces (coordinating with external contractors, managing gear and schedules, making sure all content was delivered on time), and we wanted this effort to stand out among our other content.
This is narrative brand storytelling the way it should be done: center the community or the individual – without these folks, brands wouldn’t exist. Tell a compelling story, and let the brand support the narrative without overpowering it. It should feel like a story, not an ad. And with this one, I think we nailed it.
